The dream begins with me and my friend literally flying down the coastline with wings on our ankles similar to the sandals worn by Hermes. As we land in what appeared to be a research/ industrial facility for unknown reasons but it felt comfortable like a job and we were two of the special subjects. my friend helps me down from the skies and we land shoulder to shoulder. We walk up and there are a couple other people there. The subjects were doing some physical exercises and being studied by a scientist taking notes. As the other 4 subjects were doing a scheduled running exercise I approach with my friend (a real life person). It appears that we are special compared to the other subject because we casually arrived later and begin the exercise at our own pace. He goes off to begin his portion of the exercise and the scientist there is shocked when it’s revealed that we can fly. I had this ability from a previous dream and I knew that I was able to do so after seeing my friend achieve it in the previous dream (a different night). Some of the other subjects have abilities aswell though none can fly. One subject has super speed and was surprised that while in flight we match his speed. In the dream I realize that there is something limiting my flight, to where I can only do it in bursts, like extended leaps, even though I was able to fly fully before. I explain to the scientist that I unlocked the ability once seeing my friend achieve it. The dream environment then changes and I’m with the other subjects at night ,my friend not amongst us, and we are running from some authority like police, and the other subjects get caught (appearing not being able to use powers) while I escape with my ability to fly/leap (still limited). I then encounter one of my commanders in real life, who appears to be with the authorities but who is well aware of my abilities and speaks to me as if I am of higher rank than those individuals caught and this is some form of test for the other subjects. The other authorities were unaware of my presence and I decide to flee from the area with my real life commander aware. In the dream l get into my real life vehicle and start to leave the scene. The vehicle is not as efficient in moving as myself leaping or flying so I decide to use my ability to try and fly the car away. I am able to get some lift off but struggle to completely become airborne in the car. The car ends up in a ditch and my commander appears once again. I explain how I tried to take off with the car but for some reason my ability is limited. He nods and is confused as to why I can’t fully take off but seems to understand, he tells me to return to the facility. At the facility I see the original scientist there (now nighttime) speaking with some of the subjects who weren’t present at the other scene, on a bench discussing the trials and exercises. He approaches me and asks about my ability. I explain to him how I discovered I was capable of it after seeing my friend achieve it but it’s been limited. I also explain how even though it might seem like the ability relies on the winged shoes it doesn’t truly come from there, we are capable of doing it without them. Then the dream is over

Flying: Often represents freedom, liberation, and a higher perspective on life's challenges. The ability to fly might symbolize your capacity to rise above difficulties or gain insight into a situation.
Wings on Ankles: Reminiscent of Hermes from mythology, symbolize speed, communication, and a message from the divine. This imagery suggests a desire for swift progress or an ability to move effortlessly through problems or decisions.
Facility Environment: The research or industrial setting can signify a part of your life where you feel analyzed or judged, perhaps work or a personal project. Despite being a structured environment, your comfort suggests security and familiarity with assessment or scrutiny.
Special Subjects: Feeling special or different among a group can reflect your self-perception in life. You may feel unique talents or capabilities set you apart from peers, contributing to your identity.
Physical Exercises: Indicate personal development and self-improvement efforts. The scientist taking notes could symbolize self-observation or judgment from others in your waking life.
Flying Ability and Past Dream Connection: A recurring theme of evolving abilities from previous dreams can represent personal growth and the journey of self-discovery. Seeing your friend achieve an ability first indicates a process of learning or inspiration from others.
Flight Limitation: Suggests challenges or restrictions you're presently facing in your endeavors. It reflects feeling held back or struggling to reach your full potential, despite previously having succeeded.
Communicating the Limitation: Telling the scientist about your flight restriction could symbolize your readiness to confront and discuss your limitations or challenges with others.
Running from Authorities: Reflects an internal conflict with rules or authority, a sense of being misunderstood, or the fear of losing autonomy or individuality.
Escape and Commander's Role: The presence of your commander, who recognizes your higher rank and abilities, indicates an internal support system or higher self-awareness, providing guidance through trials.

Returning to the Facility: Returning indicates revisiting the drawing board, a reevaluation of your strategies, or familiar tasks after an exploration of your abilities or autonomy.
Nighttime Discussion: Represents contemplation and internal dialogues about your experiences and the recognition of your limitations and potential.
Explanation of Abilities: Communicating that your abilities aren't dependent solely on external symbols (like winged shoes) embodies a realization that inner strength and potential, rather than external tools or circumstances, empower you.
